Zillis hosts the Romanesque church dedicated to San Martino (12th Century) with its world-renowned ceiling.
153 wooden panels in perfect condition illustrate the life of Christ but set within the context of a typically Medieval view of the World.
The museum presents an overview of all the cultural aspects of the Schams, day to day existence, agriculture and local arts and crafts. Zillis also represents an ideal setting off point for a short excursion to Schamserberg, the sun-kissed terrace of Val Schons, dotted with unspoilt villages and well-known for the Wergenstein Center da capri corns ( the centre of the ibex).
